Floor Plans/Space Planning
A floor plan is a diagram, usually to scale that shows the relationships
between rooms, spaces and other features of a structure. Many times this is drawn with dimensions to specify room sizes
and wall lengths. Floor plans also include details of fixtures like sinks, water heaters, furnaces, etc. VI will
include notes to specify finishes, construction methods and symbols for electrical items.
The actual space is "space planned" to fit within the exterior walls
to meet the needs of the end user best. Many places can be space planned several different ways, that is why VI likes
to find out about their clients and how they live to create a space that will bring about harmony.
